Born in Catania in 1967, she ends her classical studies in her hometown and brilliantly obtains her diploma in piano and singing at the Reggio Calabria School of music. After being a finalist and awarded in many competitions during 1991, she wins the first prize at the third international selection of the "Del Monaco" award of Marsala, at the international "Bellini" competition and at the international "Neglia" one. She makes her debut in Germany as Mamma Lucia in "Cavalleria Rusticana", and later she sings in operas like "Italiana in Algeri" (Zulma), "Rigoletto", "Madama Butterfly", "Suor Angelica" (Zia Principessa), in theaters of Italy, Spain and Germany. In 1994 she debuts in Venice in "The tales of Hoffmann" as Antonia's Mother, repeating the role at La Scala under the baton of Riccardo Chailly. At La Fenice she sings also in Busoni's "Turandot" (The Queen Mother), "Orfeo ed Euridice" (Orfeo), "Puritani" (Enrichetta) and in "Sonnambula" (Teresa), also in the tour in Poland ; she also debuts in Genova as Flora in "Traviata" under Daniel Oren and in Perosi's "Il Natale del Redentore", under Gianandrea Gavazzeni, at the Rome Opera as Madelon in "Andrea Chenier", in Novara as Fenena in "Nabucco", as Azucena in "Trovatore" in Fano, and then comes back to La Scala as La Cieca in "Gioconda", under M0 Roberto Abbado, before going to Venice for Quickly in "Falstaff", Rome Opera for Donizetti's "Messa da Requiem" under M0 Gelmetti, and Naples for Lola in "Cavalleria Rusticana" and Antonia's mother in "TheTales of Hoffmann". Recently she has sung, aside Renato Bruson, Fenena in "Nabucco" in Macerata, and made her debut in Tours in Lab's "Le Roi d'Ys". Recently, she was again in Genova for "Rigoletto" and "La Gioconda", in Venice for "La Gazza ladra" and at La Scala for "Linda di Chamounix". She also sings a wide concert repertoire, including Vivaldi's "Gloria", Haendel's "Messiah" and Bach's "Cantata 106", as well as the recently debuted Verdi's and Donizetti's "Messa di Requiem", the latter performed under M0 Gelmetti in Rome. Among her next engagements are "Roberto Devereux" in Naples, "Norma" in Catania.
