Born in Verona in 1977, he started his technical-vocal study with Ivo Vinco and with Paola Molinari; with this last one he performed soon in numerous concerts that makes him appreciated for the voice and for the scenic dowries, matured also through important experiences in the drama.

After his debut in La Bohème (Colline) at the Teatro Politeama di Lecce, in 1999 he performed the role of Nettuno in Barcheggio by Stradella at the Festival Barocco di Fano under the baton of Alberto Zedda, the role of Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro in Trento and the role of Conte Rodolfo in La Sonnambula, conducted by Zedda. Immediately after he sang the Haydn's Pauken Messe under Corrado Rovaris at the Teatro Comunale di Firenze. He then sang Tosca (Angelotti) conducted by Daniele Gatti at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, where he returns later on for Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini and Passione e morte di Gesù Cristo by Salieri.

Of remarkable prestige was his debut at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma performing in Le Jongleur de Notre Dame by Massenet conducted by Gianluigi Gelmetti, followed by Petite Messe Solennelle in Venice and the interpretations of L?equivoco stravagante by Rossini at the Festival in Wildbad under the baton of Alberto Zedda (also recorded) and of Il marito disperato by Cimarosa at the Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli. Marco Vinco has recently made his role debut as Don Giovanni in Tourcoing, a role subsequently revisited at the Teatro dell?Opera di Roma, and has performed in Le nozze di Figaro under the baton of Minkowski at the Festival d?Aix-en-Provence, in Baden Baden, on a Japan tour of the Festival of Aix-en-Provence and at the Teatro Real in Madrid, in Le farse rossiniane and La pietra del paragone at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, in La Bohème (Colline) in Verona, and in Beethoven?s Ninth Symphony in Parma, under the baton of Gelmetti. He just made his debut in Il turco in Italia (Selim) at the Japan Opera Foundation in Tokyo, Maurizio Benini conducting, and in the role of Argante in Rinaldo at the Politeama Greco in Lecce.

Marco Vinco's future engagements include, among others, Il turco in Italia (Selim) in Las Palmas at the Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli and at the Teatro Sao Carlos in Lisbon, Adina, ovvero il Califfo di Bagdad (Califfo) at the Rossini Opera Festival, L?equivoco stravagante in Tenerife, Le nozze di Figaro in Genoa and Tel Aviv. During the 2004/5 season he will make his much awaited debut on the stage of the Teatro Regio di Torino in La Cenerentola (Alidoro) and Don Giovanni (title role).

He recorded for Bongiovanni, Dynamic and Naxos.

Marco Vinco has just graduated in law at the University of Bologna.
