Mstislav Rostropovitch has claimed that the tenor Badri Maisuradze is one of the greatest tenors of the 20th century.
Badri Maisuradze has performed in many great opera theaters around the world: in the Vienna State Opera, the Milan La Scala, the Berlin Deutsche Oper, the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theater, the Stockholm Royal Opera, the Toronto Canadian Opera etc. His repertoire includes over 40 top tenor roles – Radames, Cavaradossi, Alfredo, Edgardo, Ismaele etc.
He has worked with Mstislav Rostropovitch, Valeri Gergiev, Seiji Ozawa and other famous conductors. For the last ten years, Badri Maisuradze has been the soloist of the Moscow Bolshoi Theater.
