Since her debuts, Tiziana Tramonti has appeared on the stage of the most important Italian theatres, such as the Teatro Comunale di Firenze, Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania, Teatro Alighieri di Ravenna, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Arena di Verona, collaborating with such famous conductors as Bruno Bartoletti, Riccardo Chailly, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Gustav Kuhn, Eduardo Mata, Riccardo Muti, Daniel Oren, Hubert Soudant and Emil Tchakarov.

Her vast operatic repertoire includes the main works by Mozart (Die Zauberflöte, Le nozze di Figaro), Rossini (Il barbiere di Siviglia, La Cenerentola), Bellini (La sonnambula), Puccini (Gianni Schicchi), Verdi (Nabucco, Il trovatore, Otello, Aida, La traviata, La forza del destino), Wagner (Parsifal, Der Goetterdaemmerung), as well as Janacek's The Makropulos Affair, Iber's Angelique, Nino Rota's Il cappello di paglia di Firenze, Korngold's Die Tote Stadt, Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana, Giordano's Andrea Chénier, Händel's Agrippina, J. Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier, R. Strauss's Elektra, Henze's Pollicino, Ciaikovski's Evgenij Onegin. Active also on the concert side, Tiziana Tramonti performed works from Bach to Fauré, from Beethoven to Mahler, from Liszt to Schönberg, as well as works by Malipiero, Dallapiccola and Henze, working with such conductors as Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Marcello Panni, Zoltán Peskó, Donato Renzetti and Hubert Soudant. Her vast lieder repertoire also includes numerous Lieder by Schubert and Wagner.

Tiziana Tramonti is a regular guest of the Teatro alla Scala, where she sang in such productions as La forza del destino (Curra), Rigoletto (Giovanna), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Berta), Les dialogues des Carmélites (Soeur Matilde), Il trovatore (Ines). She will return to Milan for her much awaited debut of Der Rosenkavalier.

Abroad, she performed at the Opéra of Lyon, at the Opéra of Nanterre and, in Summer 1998, at the Salzburg Festival in Le nozze di Figaro; in Japan, on a Teatro Comunale di Bologna tour of Gianni Schicchi; at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (Suor Angelica) and in Santiago de Campostela (L?enfant et les sortilèges) in 1999.

Highlights of her recent seasons include performances at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo (Otello) and at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna (Gianni Schicchi), as well as the debut in The Devils of Loudun at the Teatro Regio di Torino. During the 1999/2000 season she also made her debuts at the Concertgebouw Orkest in Amsterdam with Suor Angelica and at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari in La traviata. Apart from the successful appearances at the Teatro alla Scala, 2000/1 season brought her to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich for a new production of Le nozze di Figaro, to the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma to sing in Evgenij Onegin and to the Opernhaus in Zurich in Il barbiere di Siviglia. During the last season Tiziana Tramonti returned to the Teatro Comunale di Bologna for the successful world première of Les oiseaux de passage, to the Teatro Regio di Torino to sing in La forza del destino and to the Teatro Massimo di Palermo for Moses und Aaron, with the direction of Denis Krief. At the Arena di Verona Tiziana Tramonti has just successfully debuted in Carmen (Mercedes) and was again on the stage of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich for Il barbiere di Siviglia.

Highlights of Tiziana Tramonti's future engagements include Gianni Schicchi all'Opéra National de Paris, Carmen at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Jenufa at the Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Andrea Chénier at the Teatro Regio di Torino, the return to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich for Le nozze di Figaro.

Born in Florence, Tiziana Tramonti studied viola at the «Luigi Cherubini» Conservatory of his native town, graduating with honours under Piero Farulli. She began her vocal studies with Ettore Campogalliani, Giorgio Favaretto and Erik Werba, continuing them with Suzanne Danco.
