Après des études à la Warwick University et au Royal Northern College, Ashley Holland est engagé régulièrement à l'English National Opera pour lequel il chante entre autres rôles, Sharpless ('Madama Butterfly'), Guglielmo ('Così fan tutte'), Belcore ('L'Elisir d'amore'), Lescaut ('Manon'). Il interprète, en outre, le rôle-titre de 'Don Giovanni' à l'Opéra de Calgari, fait ses débuts à la Bastille (Bosum, 'Billy Budd') ainsi qu'à Covent Garden (Masetto, 'Don Giovanni') et au Chicago Lyric Opera (Enrico, 'Lucia di Lammermoor'). Parallèlement il se produit en concert et enregistre plusieurs rôles, dont 'The first mate ('Billy Budd') pour Erato sous la direction de K. Nagano. En projet: Masetto ('Don Giovanni') à Covent Garden, Enrico ('Lucia di Lammermoor') à l'Opéra de Chicago, Escamillo ('Carmen') et Ford ('Falstaff') avec l'ENO.
