Guest engagements already took Petya Ivanova as LUCIA to the Aalto Theatre of Essen , the Opera House Bonn and to the State Sofia Opera (Bulgaria), as GILDA to the Klagenfurt City Theatre and in 2005 to the Schwerin Castle Festival and the Oderzo Music festival(Italy). In 2008 she was the QUEEN OF THE NIGHT at the Hamburg State Opera.
Her repertoire includes not only Italian parts like the ROSINA, the OLYMPIA, the MUSETTA, the NANETTA or the OSCAR, all roles she incarnated at the State Opera of Sofia (Bulgaria), at the State Opera in Maribor, as well as at festivals of Oderza, Ljubljana and Pula. Furthermore she played the “KÖNIGIN DER NACHT” and the ZERLINA, roles, she met with success in at the State Opera in Kazan (Russia) and at the summer festival in Split (Croatia).
The young artist studied at first at the Academy for Music in Rousse (Bulgaria), before she continued her studies of music at the Conservatoire in Sofia. She graduated in both studies with a diploma.
Despiteher young age, Petya Ivanova was already decorated by numerous awards. She won the second prize and the public’s award at International Opera Contest of Belcanto in Rijeka (Croatia), the second prize at the International Opera Contest Iris Adami Corradett in Padua (Italy), the first prize of the International Opera contest Odina Otta in Slowenia, the Special Prize of the International Opera contest Boris Christoff in Sofia, as well as the second prizeat the International Opera contest Christo Brambarov.
Petya Ivanova is also a very sought-after concert singer. Hereby she can refer to co-operations with the Kuopio Philharmonic Orchestra (Finland), the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Ljubljana (Slowenia), the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sofia, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sarajevo. Concert evening and recitals allowed her to perform in France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia.
Her future engagements as soprano include performances as the “KÖINIGIN DER NACHT” at the Hamburg State Opera and the Vienna Popular Opera, GILDA at the International Music Festival in Chiemgau, and DESPINA, VIOLETTA and TITANIA at the State Opera of Maribor.
Moreover, she will participate at a Belcanto concert of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Württemberg.
