| After her British debut in Kátya Kabanová at the Glyndebourne Operal Festival, conducted by Andrew Davis, at the Wiener Staatsoper and at the Opéra Bastille, Nancy Gustafson today is considered the ideal interpreter of this opera by Leós Janacek. Another opera of this author that is perfectly suited to her is Jenufa, that she performed in the autumn of 1993 at the Royal Opera House-Covent Garden and subsequently at the Théâtre du Châtelet de Paris. |
