Studied Odessa and sang with the Minsk O from 1984; Rosina, Tatyana, Elisabeth de Valois. Milan, S, 1987 (Amelia). A versatile performer in the dramatic repertory, she has been successful as Lisa ('Queen of Spades') with the Kirov O; Vienna, S, and New York, M, 1990-91 (Maddalena, Tosca). Other roles incl. Leonora in 'Oberto' (Edinburgh 1993), Aida, Odabella, Santuzza.
