| Since making her highly successful debut at Glyndebourne in the title role of Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea she has returned to sing in many productions there in roles such as Concepcion in L'Heure Espagnole. She then began to sing at other Opera house in the UK, at Covent Garden in Parsifal, Jenufa and The Knot Garden, and at the English National Opera in Makropoulos Case. |
| Since then, she has sung roles of Despina in Amsterdam, Stuttgart and Zurich, Zerlina in Seattle, Stuttgart and Nancy Governess in The Turn of the Screw at the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Jenny in Mahagonny in Los Angeles, Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos in St Louis, Concepcion at the NY City Opera and in Geneva, Serpetta in La finta giardiniera in Frankfurt and Lausanne, Damigella in the L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Salzburg Festival. |
| In 1994/5 she decided to follow her natural vocal leaning towards the mezzo-soprano repertoire with some success, singing Maddalena in Rigoletto and Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro at the Opéra de Montecarlo, Magdalene in Meistersingers in Stuttgart, Amsterdam and at the Teatro Real of Madrid, Giunone in Agrippina in Palermo, Tisbe in La Cenerentola at the Opéra Bastille de Paris and in Geneva, Pierrot Lunaire for the Opéra de Montpellier, Baronne in Il cappello di paglia by Nino Rota and Ragonde in Le comte Ory in Toulouse, Auntie in Peter Grimes in Nancy, Dorothee in Massenet?s Cendrillon in Geneva, Marquise in La fille du régiment in St Gallen, Kunstgewerblerin in Lulu at Bastille Flora in La traviata and Meg Page in Falstaff in Amsterdam, Melanto in Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria at BAM in NY with Netherlands Opera, La Libellule, La Tasse Chinoise and La Mere in L'Enfant et les Sortilèges at the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia. |
| Future plans include, among others, Il cappello di paglia (Baronne) in Toulouse, Peter Grimes (Auntie)in Toulouse, Tisbe and Lulu at Opéra Bastille, Streetcar Named Desire in St Gallen, Faust in Avignon Roméo and Juliette in Orange, Tisbe in Marseille. |
| She has sung many times with Nicolaus Harnoncourt and recorded with him the role of Despina for Teldec with the Concertgebouw Orchestra. She has also performed with important conductors such as Bruno Campanella, Riccardo Chailly, Bernard Haitink, Neville Marriner, Kent Nagano, Simon Rattle, Michael Tilson-Thomas, Alberto Zedda. |
