Busi began studying opera under the leadership of baritone Tito Turtura. He later specialized in repertoire of basso-buffo, under the guidance of soprano Marta Taddei. He received his diploma in Opera at the 'Luigi Cherubini' Conservatory of Music in Florence.

He won International Opera Vocal contests among which: 'Giuseppe di Stefano' (Trapani), and 'Angelica Catalani' (Ostra-Ancona), in both cases winning the role of Dulcamara (Elisir d'amore).@He attended Specialization Courses under the leadership of Maestri such as: Claudio Desderi, Leo Nucci, Giuseppe Taddei and Alberto Zedda.@He has been conducted by Directors such as: Bartoletti, Bellugi, Gandolfi, Gatti, Humburg, Inbal, Severini, Thielemann, Zedda.@He performed in the following Opera Houses and Foundations: Scala of Milano, Comunale of Bologna, Lirico of Cagliari, Donizetti of Bergamo, Municipale of Modena, Piacenza, Verdi of Pisa, Salerno, Sassari, Vittorio Emanuele of Messina, Il Giglio of Lucca, Manoel of La Valletta (Malta), Vorarlberg of Bergenz (Austria).

His repertoire encompasses all major buffo roles from Rossini to Donizetti.@His credits ranged from Don Bartolo to Dulcamara, from Don Magnifico to Don Pasquale, from Mustafà to Don Annibale, from Taddeo to Sulpizio, from Bruschino Padre to Gasparo, as well as Bartolo and Don Alfonso in Mozart's Operas and Verdi's Falstaff and Melitone, and many roles of Character Actor.

His repertoire of Sacred music includes: Handel's Messia, Mazart's Requiem K626, Rossini's Petite Messe Solemnelle and Stabat Mater.

He has recently debuted as Falstaff, artistic director Beppe De Tomasi. He will shortly be playing the role of Sagrestano in Tosca conducted by M° Daniele Gatti as part of the Japan Tour 2002 of the Foundation Teatro Comunale of Bologna.@He will be again Sagrestano, in fall, in the Theatres of the Circuito Toscano, Bergamo, Novara, under direction of M° Saverini. In October he will sing Benôit (Bohème) at Teatro Comunale in Bologna and in 2003 Bartolo of Barbiere di Siviglia in Toronto. @In 2004 he will be Benoit (Bohème) at Teatro Regio in Turin, with Roberto Alagna and Angela Gheorghiu.
