His first performances in the Mozart's repertoire and most particularly in the role of Il Conte Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and in the title role of Don Giovanni, won great critical acclaim; Le Figaro writes: "Nicolas Rivenq is a marvellous Don Giovanni. He has the voice for the role, an indisputable presence." International Herald Tribune :"Nicolas Rivenq's lean a muscular baritone, like his physique, made a Don a splendidly virile one."
