| Reynald Giovaninetti has conducted the most important orchestras in Europe such as the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Philharmonia Orchestra in London, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestra of the Suisse Romande, the Bayerische Staatsorchester, the Kölner Rundfunk-Sinfonie-Orchester, the SWR Sinfonieorchester of Baden-Baden, the SWR Radio-Sinfonieorchester of Stuttgart, the Hamburgische Staatsorchester, the Münchner Philharmoniker, the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, the Orchestra della Rai di Torino, the Orchestra of the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie de Bruxelles, the ORF Orchestra in Vienna, the Tokyo Philharmonic, and in North America the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (with which he toured the Usa in 1982), the Houston Symphony, the Saint-Louis Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony, the Dallas Symphony and the Orchestra of the Canadian Opera in Toronto. |
| In recent seasons he gained success conducting La favorita in Naples, Aida in Torre del Lago and in Sevilla on occasion of the re-opening of the famed theater, Hamlet by Ambroise Thomas at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, Falstaff in Verona, Cavalleria rusticana and Madama Butterfly in Messina, Faust in Como and Roméo et Juliette in Turin. |
| He was subsequently engaged in Les pêcheurs des perles at the Théâtre du Capitol de Toulouse, in Werther at the Teatro Valli di Reggio Emilia, the Teatro Regio di Parma, the Teatro Comunale di Modena and the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, in Herodiade at the Wiener Staatsoper. He has recently returned to the Teatro Massimo di Palermo for a new acclaimed production of I Masnadieri and conducted Roméo et Juliette at the Oviedo Festival and Tosca in Porto. |
| Forthcoming engagements include Les pêcheurs des perles in Reggio Emilia, Piacenza and Ferrara, and Jérusalem and Werther at the Wiener Staatsoper. |
| Reynald Giovaninetti completed his musical studies in composition, conducting and cello at the Paris Conservatory. He also holds a degree in Mathematics and Physics from the Paris University. He won several conducting competition such as of Besançon and Divonne. |
| After collaborating with France Radio and Television as Musical assistant and Director, he was appointed Musical Director and General Director at the Opéra de Marseille and holding this post until 1975. |
