| Born in Pennsylvania, Paula Delligatti made her European debut as Cio-Cio-San in Paris, 1997. Appearances elsewhere have included Cio-Cio-San (Atlanta Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Sarasota Opera, Houston Grand Opera, New York City Opera, Staatsoper and Deutsche Oper, Berlin, Boston Symphony Orchestra under Seiji Ozawa), Mahler Synmphony No. 2 under Ozawa, Mimi, Donna Anna (Connecticut Opera), Magda, Nannetta, Gilda (Atlanta Opera), Violetta (Boheme Opera of New Jersey), all three heroines of les Contes d'Hoffmann, Giorgetta, Suor Angelica, Lauretta (Sarasota Opera), Liu (May Festival, Cincinnati), Ghita in Zemlinsky's Der Zwerg (Florence, Paris & Lincoln Center), Gianni Schicchi (Florence), the soprano soloist in Verdi's Requiem under Charles Dutoit with the Montreal Symphony, Joel Levy with the Israel Philharmonic, and Robert Spano with the Atlanta Symphony. She made her Royal Opera debut in i Masnadieri at the Edinburgh, Baden-Baden and Savonlinna Festivals, sang the soprano solo in Verdi's Requiem under Haitink, and a Verdi Gala conducted by Sir Edward Downes. Her plans include her first Leonora in Il Trovatore in Madison, Wi, and Cio-Cio-Cio San in Florence. |
