The soprano Noëmi Nadelmann is regarded as one of the most successful, multifaceted and fascinating singers in the classical music scene. Her stunning charisma, her musical expressivity and her dramatic versatility have made her a guest in high demand at many of Europe's major opera houses. She regularly performs concerts with many renowned symphony orchestras, and is an acknowledged oratorio singer and recitalist.

Grown up in an artist family in Zurich, Noëmi Nadelmann studied in her hometown und at Indiana University in Bloomington. In 1987 she gave her debut as Musetta at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. From 1990 to 1993 she was a member at the Theater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich (performances e.g. as Zerbinetta, Manon, Madame Pompadour), since 1994 she is a regular guest at the Komische Oper Berlin, where she sang Nedda and Musetta, before breaking through with the title roles in "La Traviata" and "Lucia di Lammermoor", both directed by Harry Kupfer. She sang the title roles in "La Traviata", "Lucia" and "Manon" at the Stadttheater Berne. Guest engagements led her to the Zurich Opera ("Die lustige Witwe", "Traviata", "Fledermaus", "Wiener Blut"), the Opéra de Paris ("La Bohème"), the Hamburgische Staatsoper ("Traviata", "Lucia"), the Deutsche Oper Berlin ("Traviata"), the Bayerische Staatsoper Munich (Armida in "Rinaldo" at the Münchner Festspiele), the MET in New York ("La Bohème"), the Staatsoper Wien ("Die lustige Witwe", "La Bohème", "Fledermaus"), the Lyric Opera Chicago ("La Bohème"), the Oper Köln (Donna Anna in "Don Giovanni", "Fledermaus", "Lady Hamilton"), the Staatsoper Berlin ("Rinaldo"), and the Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam ("La Bohème" and "Don Giovanni").

Noëmi Nadelmann has sung Beethovens "Missa Solemnis" under the baton of Christian Thielemann in Berlin, Köln and Bonn, Mahler's Symphony No. 2 in Barcelona under Bertrand de Billy, and Beethovens "Egmont" under Gerd Albrecht in Dresden. She works together with conductors such as Kurt Masur, Sir Neville Marriner, Franz Welser-Möst, Christoph Eschenbach, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, René Jacobs, Simone Young, Yakov Kreizberg, Paul McCreesh and Peter Schneider, as well as with directors like Harry Kupfer, Helmuth Lohner, David Alden and Götz Friedrich.

Noëmi Nadelmann performs regularly in recitals and orchestra concerts around the globe. Her CD's have been published by Sony BMG, Oehms Classics and Arte Nova, amongst others. Apart from her participation in numerous radio and TV productions, Noëmi Nadelmann has also played in Andrzej Zulawski's motion picture "La Note Bleue" alongside Sophie Marceau.

Besides teaching Masterclasses for professionals and students, she is a frequent jury member in vocal competitions, e.g. for the "Migros Kulturprozent Studienpreis Gesang" in 2009, as well as in the successful casting show "MusicStar" broadcast by the Swiss national TV in 2007.

The artist's most recent projects comprise "La Traviata" at the Komische Oper Berlin, "Die Lustige Witwe" at the Wiener Volksoper and the Théâtre Municipal de Lausanne, "Mahagonny" at the Stadttheater Bern, "Der Schauspieldirektor" (including CD recording) with the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, "Der Rosenkavalier" in Tel Aviv, the premiere of "Night.Shift" by John Wolf Brennan at the Stadttheater St. Gallen, as well as many concerts and recitals. In 2009, Noëmi Nadelmann will perform, amongst others, at the Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden in "Lustige Witwe", at the Komische Oper Berlin in "Mahagonny", as well as at the Festival d'Opéra Avenches in "Don Giovanni".
