Felicity Palmer is heard this season as Waltraute in 'Götterdämmerung' for her Met debut and Fricka in 'Das Rheingold' und 'Die Walküre' with Paris' Bastille Opera. Born in Great Britain, she has recently sung Fricka with Munich's Bavarian State Opera, Mistress Quickly in 'Falstaff' and the Countess in 'The Queen of Spades' at Glyndebourne, and Klytämnestra in 'Elektra' at La Scala, Berlin State Opera, Covent Garden, and Deutsche Oper Berlin. Future plans include the Countess with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Madame de Croissy in 'Dialogues of the Carmelites' at the Bastille Opera.
