| After studies at the Musikhochschule Hannover and Hamburg, Schöne began as a concert singer, then at the Staatsoper Stuttgart in the roles of Don Giovanni, Wolfram, Amfortas, Renato in Un ballo in maschera , Ford in Falstaff and in Eugen Onegin, Orest und Barak, Wir erreichen den Fluss, Die Bassariden, Rigoletto, Fliegende Holländer, Lulu and as King Roger. He sang Dr. Schön / Jack the Ripper in Lulu throughout Europe, notably at the Opera Bastille. He appeared as guest with his repertoire of more than seventy roles in the opera houses of Vienna, Munich, Hamburg, Der Deutsche Oper in Berlin, in Cologne, Paris, Amsterdam and in the Salzburg Festival. In 1978 he was appointed "Kammersänger". He recently sang the roles of King Roger II, the father in "Hänsel und Gretel" and Dr. Schön/Jack the Ripper at the Staatsoper Stuttgart. |
