| Born 1963 in Trostberg/Germany. Since 1966 study and instruction in many different musical instruments. First competition in 1979 and since then many debuts of his musical compositions in the field of Chamber- and Vocal music. 1984 Berlin, winner of a scholarship for the advancement of young Artists. 1990 Dinkelsbühl, winner of the Cultural Prise from the German government for his cultural work. 1995 July, finalist and price winner at the 14th International Belvedere Hans Gabor vocal contest in Vienna. From 1981-1983 study at the Richard-Strauss-Conservatory in München with major in music education and trumpet. 1989-1993 study at Leopold-Mozart-Conservatory in Augsburg with major in operatic and concert singing. While in Augsburg study with Kammersängerin Liselotte Becker-Egner. From January 1991 - July 1993 member of the opera chorus Städtische Bühnen Augsburg. From 1993-1995 engagement as soloist Stadttheater Trier as Lyric and Spiel-Tenor. While in Trier in may 1995 his stage composition for soprano, tenor and actor and piano based on Heinrich Heines 'Deutschland-Ein Wintermärchen' was premiered and again showed in Augsburg in 1999. From August 1995 - April 1996 engagement at Anhaltisches Theater Dessau as Lyric and Spiel-Tenor. As of May 1996 is currently free lancing until January of 1999. In this time he sang Mime in 'Rheingold' and 'Siegfried'. January 1996 first CD production. January 1997 debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper München. December 1998 debut at the Wiener Staatsoper. January 1999 - July 2003 engagement in Nürnberg singing following Roles: 'Herodes', 'Parsifal', 'Walther von Stolzing', 'Mephistopheles' (Busoni 'Dr. Faustus'). 'Tom Rakewell', 'Loge', 'Siegmund', 'Laca Klemen', Guestings in the following theaters: Musikhalle Hamburg, Theater Halle, Freiberg, Freiburg, Eutin and Mörbisch am See (both open air Theatre), Kiel, Gelsenkirchen, Wuppertal, Staatstheater Saarbrücken, Kassel, Braunschweig, a.o. as well as Bulgaria/Sofia, Holland, Spain/Sevilla, Italy/Trieste. In the year 20004 (march - april) he'll make his debut at the Metropolitan Opera New York as Mime in "Der Ring des Nibelungen". |
