Daniela Mazzucato is a skilled artist, with extremely flexible vocal artistry and she is able to range from baroque repertoires (Händel, Cesti, Scarlatti, Cavalli, Landi), to the Mozart and Donizetti leading roles.

After her debut at the age of nineteen as Gilda in Rigoletto at the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Daniela Mazzucatoappeared in the most famous Italian opera houses and music festivals, such as the Teatro alla Scala, the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, the Arena di Verona, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto. She performed abroad in London (Covent Garden), Paris, Tel Aviv (New Israeli Opera), Hamburg, Frankfurt, Bordeaux, Ottawa and Marseilles.

Her operatic repertoire includes, among others, Il campiello (Gasparina), I quatro rusteghi (Felice), Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari's La vedova scaltra, Così fan tutte (conductor Karl Böhm, director Patroni Griffi), Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Werther (conducted by Georges Prêtres), Un ballo in maschera (Oscar, conducted by Claudio Abbado and directed by Franco Zeffirelli), Il matrimonio segreto, Orphée aux Enfers (Euridice), L'elisir d'amore (Adina, with Luciano Pavarotti in Berlin), Hänsel und Gretel (Gretel), Il paese del sorriso (Lisa), Orfeo ed Euridice (Euridice), Le nozze di Figaro (Susanna, for her Teatro alla Scala debut in 1973 with Claudio Abbado and Giorgio Strehler), La Bohème (Musetta, with Mirella Freni and conducted by Gianandrea Gavazzeni), L'incoronazione di Poppea, Eva, Sissi (Elisabetta), Sogno di un valzer, La cecchina, Offenbach's Barbablù, Purcell's Dido and Æneas, L'intrigo della lettera, the Luciano Chailly's Trittico, Cin-Ci-La, La scugnizza, Al cavallino bianco, a «triptych» by Offenbach including Croquefer, I due ciechi and Il Signor Choufleury, and The Turn of the Screw (Miss Jessel).

She has a great deal of experience also in light operas, having sung at the Operetta Festival of Trieste, at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples in Die lustige Witwe conducted by Daniel Oren, at the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia as Euridice in Orphée aux Enfers and in Die Fledermaus, the last also performed at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo.

In 1998/9 season she performed in Die lustige Witwe at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Così fan tutte (Despina) at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and Orphée aux Enfers at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, as well as in concerts in several Italian theatres.

1999/2000 brought her to Ferrara to sing Così fan tutte under the baton of Claudio Abbado and to the Teatro Regio di Torino for Orphée aux Enfers.

She has recently returned to the Teatro Massimo di Palermo to perform in Le nozze di Figaro, and has performed as Despina in Così fan tutte at the Teatro Argentina di Roma and as Kate in Kiss me Kate at the Teatro Regio di Torino, obtaining an outstanding success and enthusiastic approvals.

Daniela Mazzucato will sing in La vedova allegra at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and Ballo al Savoy at the Teatro Verdi di Trieste.

A native of Venice, Daniela Mazzucato graduated at the «Benedetto Marcello» Conservatory.
