| Valeri Alexeev was born in Novosibirsk (Russia). After studies at the Conservatory of his home-town he was engaged as a soloist at the opera house of Voronezj and Krasnojarsk and in 1984 at the Kirov-Theatre St. Petersburg. With the Kirov-Theatre, Valeri Alexeev undertook many tours to Spain, England, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Finland, Israel and to the USA. |
| Valeri Alexeev is 'Artist of merit' of the Russian Republic and has been awarded with several prizes, among them the International All-Union Glinka Competition in 1981 and the International Competition for opera singers in Sofia in 1984. |
