| Mario Luperi began his career in 1977 singing Il Nabucco (Gran Sacerdote di Belo) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, under the baton of Riccardo Muti. He has subsequently appeared in some of the most important Italian theatres, such as the Teatro alla Scala (Stravinskij's Rossignol, Puccini?s Gianni Schicchi, Rossi's Orfeo) and the Teatro Massimo di Palermo (Mozart's La clemenza di Tito, Casella's Donna Serpente, Menotti's Console). |

| Born in Oristano, Mario Luperi studied at the Conservatories of Cagliari and Verona. Graduated at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and at the Accademia Virgiliana in Mantova, he won the «Ettore Bastianini» and the «Voci Verdiane» competitions. |
