In October 2002 mezzo-soprano Dagmar Peckova gives her debut as Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde at the Grosses Festspielhaus Salzburg, and sings this part in concert at the Barbican Centre London with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Donald Runnicles. Furthermore, she will sing concerts at the Wiener Musikverein, Smetana Hall Prague, Théâtre des Champs Elysées Paris, Accademia Santa Cecilia Roma, Philharmonie Berlin and at the opening of the Konzerthaus Dortmund, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and at the Dresdner Philharmonie. At the Carnegie Hall New York as well as in Potsdam and Zürich, she performs recitals. |
Dagmar Peckova has performed at the Salzburger Festspiele, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper München, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Staatstheater Stuttgart, National Theatre Prague, Opernhaus Zürich, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Opéra National de Paris, Théâtre du Châtelet Paris, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Royal Opera House Covent Garden London and at De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam. She sang under the baton of outstanding conductors like Belohlavek, Bychkov, Cambreling, Davies, Dohnanyi, Dutoit, Fedoseyev, Gielen, Honeck, Jansons, Kout, Luisi, Mackerras, Nagano, Pesek, Sawallisch, Stein, Swensen, Tate. |

As an uncommon sensitive 'lieder' interpreter, Dagmar Peckova offered Recitals at the Châtelet Paris, Wigmore Hall London, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Brucknerhaus Linz as well as at the Prague Spring Festival, in Barcelona and in Vevery. Several times, she made a guest appeareance at the Edinburgh Festival. Supraphon and Teldec have released numerous CD's with Dagmar Peckova, among them Dvorák-songs in 2001. |
Born in Chrudim near Prague, Dagmar Peckova is a graduate of Prague Conservatory. She has been successful in a number of important contests, including 1st prize at the Prague Spring Festival and of the Dvorák competition. After a first season?s engagement at the Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden, Dagmar Peckova was a member of the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin for many years. |
