| Sergej Larin, one of the leading tenors in the world and winner of the Verdi Prize from the Giuseppe Verdi Society in Parma, appears in the forthcoming season in productions at the Teatro Comunale Firenze (Manon Lescaut), Teatro San Carlo Napoli (Samson), Teatro Real Madrid (Carmen), San Francisco Opera (Madame Butterfly), Bayerische Staatsoper München (Don Carlo) and at the Royal Opera House London (Rusalka). Furthermore, he will give his debut in two important roles in his genre: he will sing his first Otello at the Opera of San Diego and for the first time Bacchus in Ariadne auf Naxos at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin under the baton of Maestro Fabio Luisi. Summer 2003, he has been invited to perform the role of Des Grieux in Puccini's Manon Lescaut by the Münchner Opernfestspiele. |

Hitherto, he could be heard in Aida, Don Carlo, Carmen, Turandot and Pagliacci at the Wiener Staatsoper and under the baton of Zubin Mehta, in the role of Kalaf in Turandot in the Forbidden City of Beijing. |
