De nationalité galloise, Jason Howard est diplômé du Trinity College of Music et du Royal College of Music, où il étudie avec John Wakefield et Norman Bailey. Il chante au Scottish Opera ('Don Giovanni', 'Les Noces de Figaro', 'Così fan tutte', 'La Traviata'), à Opera North ('Billy Budd', rôle-titre, Showboat), à l'English National Opera (Ned Keene de 'Peter Grimes', Marcello de 'La Bohème'), au Welsh National Opera ('Eugène Onéguine', rôle-titre), à l'Opéra-Comique ('La Favorite'), au New Israeli Opera (Escamillo de 'Carmen' ). Il a récemment fait ses débuts à Seattle ('Les Pêcheurs de perles'), au Grand Théâtre de Genève et à Stuttgart ('La Bohème'). Jason Howard chante aussi en concert: The Kingdom d'Elgar au Royal Festival Hall, 'Peter Grimes' avec le London Symphony Orchestra dirigé par Mstislav Rostropovitch, 'Les Troyens' avec le London Symphony Orchestra sous la direction de Sir Colin Davis.
