 Elizabeth Cragg (Soprano) read music at Royal Holloway College, University of London and won a scholarship to the Royal College of Music where she trained with assistance from the Countess of Munster Trust. Whilst at the RCM she was awarded both the Murial Kistner Prize for Singing and the Dorothy Silk Prize for Practical Singing. She currently studies with Elizabeth Robson.


Elizabeth has sung Orazio in Handel and Bononcini's Muzio Scevola and Celia in Handel's Silla (recorded) for The London Handel Festival, Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas) for Ex Cathedra and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) for Staffordshire Opera. She has also performed extracts from other opera roles including Susanna (Le Nozze Di Figaro) and Gretel in Humperdinck's Hansel und Gretel. Her engagements include Handel Dixit Dominus with The English Concert/Pinnock at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Bach St Matthew Passion with Florilegium/David Hill in St Quentin and Orff Carmina Burana with Ex Cathedra in Birmingham and with the Hallé Orchestra at the Ludlow Festival. Other concert appearances include Rossini Petite Messe Solenelle with Ex Cathedra, Mozart Requiem and Handel Messiah with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Vivaldi Nulla in Mundo Pax with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.


In recital Elizabeth has performed Britten's On This Island with Roger Vignoles and given recitals at the Purcell Room and Victoria and Albert Museum. Elizabeth's future engagements include Bach St Matthew Passion and Handel Israel in Egypt with The Sixteen, Bach St John Passion with Ex Cathedra, a UK tour with the Mozart Festival Orchestra/David Hill singing Mozart and Handel, Messiah with Florilegium/Paul Spicer and Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas) with The King's Consort and Robert King.
