Attilio Cremonesi made his musical studies at the "Nicolini" Conservatory in Piacenza and at the "Schola Cantorum" of Basel. |
A winner of several international competitions, he was the musical assistant of René Jacobs in several opera and oratorio productions, and accompanied him in lyrical recitals. |
In addition to his activity as harpsichordist and fortepiano soloist, he dedicated himself to the discover and execution of rare baroque and classical operas. He founded the Ensemble Arcadia, with whom he performed in the most important musical institutions of con Europe and South-America. |
Attilio Cremonesi conducted several theatrical and concert productions at the theatres of Basel, Berlin (Staatsoper and Hebbel Theater), Braunschweig, Innsbruck, Lausanne, Lucerne and festivals of Curitiba (Brazil), Fez and Lörrach (Germany). |
He collaborated with choreographer J.Schloemer in the new production Les Larmes du ciel (which will be revisited at Wiener Festwochen 2003), recently awarded as one of the most interesting European musical and dancing creation. |
Some of Attilio Cremonesi?s numerous recordings were awarded the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis der Kritik, Choc de la Musique, Diapason d'or, Caecilianprjis and 10 de Repertoire?prizes. |
Forthcoming engagements of Attilio Cremonesi includes Haendel's Rodelinda in Oslo, Giulio Cesare in Egitto at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Dido and Aeneas in Berlin, Geselkirchen and Avignon, and concerts in Vienna, Stuttgart and Lucerne (works by Purcell). |
