Paolo Arrivabeni studied at the A. Boito Conservatory in Parma, graduating in composition under the guidance of Camillo Togni and in conducting with Daniele Gatti. He subsequently took part in the specialising course led by Gatti at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma. |
He has been regularly invited by As.Li.Co of Milan to conduct such operas as Händel's Il delirio amoroso, Vivaldi's Juditha Thriumphans, as well as performances of Don Giovanni and La Cenerentola in several theatres in the North of Italy. |
During his successful career he conduct several concerts with the following orchestras: Orchestra Sinfonica Haydn of Trento and Bolzano, Orchestra da Camera Stradivari di Milano, Orchestra Sinfonica di Bari, Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi di Milano, the orchestras of the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia di Roma, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Regio di Torino, Accademia Filarmonica Trentina. |
Paolo Arrivabeni enjoyed also a successful collaboration with the Staatsoper in Berlin and the Rossini Opera Festival di Pesaro. |
From 1997 to 2000 he has been Assistant Conductor at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, where he led Dom Sébastien, La Bohème, Tosca, Così fan tutte and, more recently, Il barbiere di Siviglia. |
At the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Lisbon, he conducted Lucia di Lammermoor for the season opening 2000, recently followed by a production of Il barbiere di Siviglia. Highlights of his recent engagements include also La notte di un nevrastenico and Tancredi at the Teatro Verdi di Trieste, La Cenerentola in Bilbao, Otello by Rossini, Ivanoe and Robert Bruce at the Festival della Valle d?Itria of Martina Franca, Norma and La Traviata at the Teatro Verdi di Salerno, Le pauvre Matelot al Teatro Rossini di Lugo, Le farse rossiniane at the Rossini Opera Festival, Il giuramento at Wexford Festival and Don Pasquale at the Teatro de La Maestranza in Sevilla. |
@Paolo Arrivabeni will return to Sevilla to conduct La sonnambula, and will led Il turco in Italia at Opéra de Marseille and Tancredi on a Japan tour with the Teatro Verdi di Trieste. On the concert side, he will conduct Rossini's Stabat Mater in Hilversum and concerts at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, with the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna. |
