Giuliano Carella is a regular guest of some of the most important theatres and orchestras throughout the world, such as the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Staatsoper in Hamburg, the Opéra Comique de Paris, the Opéra de Marseille, the New National Theatre in Tokyo, the Teatro National de la Zarzuela in Madrid, the Liceu in Barcelona, the Teatro Sao Carlos in Lisbon, Opera North, the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit, as well as the Arena di Verona, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, the Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, the Teatro Verdi di Trieste, the Rossini Opera Festival di Pesaro, the Festival di Martina Franca, the Festival Pucciniano of Torre del Lago and the Belcanto Festival in Dordrecht. |

Giuliano Carella's discography include, among others, recordings of La sonnambula (Premio Musica e dischi), Ernani (Premio Diapason), L'ultimo giorno di Pompei by Giovanni Pacini (Le Timbre de Platine), as well as several recitals recorded for Teldec and Erato on the podium of the English Chamber Orchestra with Sumi Jo and Jennifer Larmore (Grammy Award 1999). |
Forthcoming engagements of Giuliano Carella include Tosca at the Liceu in Barcelona, I Puritani and Semiramide at the Opéra de Montecarlo, L'amore dei tre re and Il pirata at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Norma on a tour to Japan of the Teatro Bellini di Catania, Rigoletto, Cavalleria rusticana and I pagliacci at the Opéra de Wallonie in Liège. Giuliano Carella graduated in Conducting at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory of Milan and in Composition at the "Cesare Pollini" Conservatory in Padova, and specialised at the Accademia Chigiana di Siena under the guidance of Franco Ferrara. |
