| Born in Pavia in 1971, Enrico Maria Marabelli began his artistic activity in G. Verdi Choir in Pavia under the guidance of Zecca and Consogno. |
| In 1993 he studied with soprano Fiorella Pediconi and tenor Umberto Grilli; then he won important singing competitions, such as the As.Li.Co in Milan, the Mario Lanza in Filignano (1997) and the Rosetum in Milan (1999). |
| In October 1997 he debuted at the Circuito Lirico Regionale Lombardo as Ford in Falstaff and as Conte in Le nozze di Figaro. In December 1997 he sang as soloist in Donizetti?s Messa di Gloria e Credo at the Teatro Sociale di Como with the Orchestra Stabile di Como under the baton of Caldi. |
| In 1998 he took part in L'Isola di Merlino by Gluck at the theatres: Pedretti di Sondrio, Teatro dell'Arte di Milano, Ponchielli di Cremona, Sociale di Mantova, Grande di Brescia and Toniolo di Venezia. |
| He subsequently sang the role of Masetto in Don Giovanni for EurOpera Studio (conducted by Corrado Rovaris, and directed by Daniele Abbado) in Pisa, Treviso, Brescia, Pavia e Vigevano, and the title role of Gianni Schicchi and in Tre commedie goldoniane by Malipiero at the Circuito Lirico Regionale Lombardo. |
| In 1999 he sang in L'elisir d'amore (Belcore) and Madama Butterfly in Milan and in La Cenerentola with As.Li.Co. (conductor Paolo Arrivabeni, director Stefano Vizioli). |
| In January 2000 he performed as Schaunard in La Bohème in Milan and as Dandini in La Cenerentola at the Festival of Aix-en-Provence. Ha subsequently was invited by the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte of Montepulciano to sing as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, as Biscroma in Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali and as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro. |
| Most recent engagements include the return to Aix-en-Provence for Die Zauberflöte (also toured to Lisbon) and to As.Li.Co. for Falstaff, and the portraying of the role of Maestro in Il maestro di Cappella in Florence with the Orchestra della Toscana, of Prince Yamadori in Madama Butterfly on a tour to Wiesbaden organised by the Torre del Lago Festival, and of Belcore in L'elisir d'amore at the Opera Giocosa di Savona. Enrico Maria Marabelli has just made his debut on the stage of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari with Rigoletto, and at Wexford Opera Festival in Mirandolina and in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Bartolo). |
| His future engagements are, among others, La traviata at the Festival of Aix-en-Provence, Mirandolina at the Teatro Rossini di Lugo and in Wiesbaden with the Wexford Festival Opera, La Bohème (Schaunard) at the Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova and at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, and Le nozze di Figaro (Figaro) in St.Gallen. |
