His discography includes recordings of medieval pieces (Tirreno, 1993), Peri's Euridice (1994), Monteverdi's Giulio Cesare (Astrée, 1996), works by Gesualdo da Venosa (Tactus, 1996), Francesco Durante (Sarx, 1998), Biagio Marini (Stradivarius, 1998), as well as Arianna by B. Marcello (Chandos, 1999) and Sammartini?s Memet (Dynamic, 2001). |
Mirko Guadagnini also carries out an intense concert activity, collaborating with such musical institutions as the Teatro alla Scala, Radio France, Orchestra Rivoluzionaria e Romantica, I Pomeriggi Musicali, Milano Classica, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Quartettone, Accademia Bizantina. |
He also dedicates himself to the chamber music and is the winner of several important international competitions. He started his opera singer activity in 1998, winning the As. Li. Co Competition and making his debut in Die Zauberflöte (Tamino), Gustavo I Re di Svezia (Learco) by Galuppi in Montepulciano, Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio), and Don Giovanni (Don Ottavio) within the «EURopera Studio» project. |
In 1999 he performed Monteverdi's Orfeo in Köln, Peter Neumann conducting, and Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at the Summer Festival of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, under the baton of Corrado Rovaris. In August, Mirko Guadagnini opened the Tommaso Traetta Festival with two performances of Le serve rivali. Mirko Guadagnini has recently made the role debut of Le Matelot in Milhaud's Le paure Matelot at the Teatro Rossini di Lugo, and in Jesi he inaugurated the Festival Pergolesi-Spontini singing as Clistene in Olimpiade, under the baton of Ottavio Dantone. He revisited the role of Clistene in some of the theatres of the Emilia Romagna (Ravenna, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Modena). |
In Montpellier, he has taken part in the live recording of Wolf-Ferrari?s La vedova scaltra, followed by the debut (December 2002) at the National Theatre of Prague ass Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. |
