Born in the United Kingdom, studied Graphics and Design at the Loughborough, and has later worked in New Zealand, country where he began his singing studies. Come back in Great Britain, he followed his studies in London, under Laura Sarti ; actually, he studies in Milan, with Rita Patane' and with M0 Dante Mazzola. He debuts in 1991, as The Male Chorus in Britten's "The rape of Lucretia", and carries on with operas like "La bohéme" and "Aida", till 1993, when he takes part at the London National Opera Studio masterclasses, sponsored by the Covent Garden and the Peter Moores Foundation. He begins later his cooperation with the Glasgow Scottish Opera, in which he sings in "The makropoulos Case", "Tosca", "La bohéme", "Il trovatore", and "La forza del destino", performed in the 1867 version of St. Petersburg. He also sings at the Welsh National Opera in Cardiff, again in "Tosca", and then in "Carmen", "Un ballo in maschera" and "Madama Butterfly". His debut in Italy is in Bari, as Cavaradossi in "Tosca", in 1994 ; later on, he begins a cooperation with London Covent Garden, where he sings and covers in "II corsaro", "Stiffelio", "Tosca", "Midsummer marriage", "Un ballo in maschera", "Giovanna d'Arco". Recently, he made his debut in "Peter Grimes", and came back to Scottish Opera for more performances of "Tosca", later performed also in Cardiff, at Welsh National Opera. As well as the concert repertoire, he has a wide knowledge of the British and American repertoire operas. Among his next engagements are "Turandot" in Torre del Lago's Puccini Festival |
