| Born in Rome in 1968, he graduates in piano in 1987 at the "N. Paganini" School of music in Genova, specialising later under Gyorgy Sandor, Viado Ferlemuter, Christian Zacharias, Mauro Bortolotti, Nicola Samale and Gustav Kuhn, among the others. He is also graduating in Music History at La Sapienza University in Rome. He wins the National selection for young performers in 1988 and 1991, and cooperates then with the Sferisterio di Macerata in the stagings of "Rigoletto" and "Cosi fan tutte", as well as in the Staatstheater of Braunschweig in the Rossini's "Otello" staging. He later debuts at 25 at the Sala Verdi of Conservatono di Milano, with the "Pomeriggi Musicali" orchestra, conducting a concert of Schostakovich musics televised by RAI TV, and carries on his cooperation with the same Orchestra in the "Milano Milhaud Festival". He also cooperates with the Orchestras "Filarmonica Marchigiana", "Arturo Toscanini", "Carissimi" of Rome, "Orchestra Regionale del Lazio", "Cracovia Philarmonic", "Giovani Musicisti Italiani", "Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano G. Verdi", as well as with the Rome Opera, and the "G. P. da Palestrina" Orchestra of Cagliari, city in which he teaches Orchestral Conducting in the School of Music. He also cooperates with Artists such Leo Nucci, Gabriella Tucci, Enzo Dara, Renato Bruson, Barbara Frittoli, Michele Pertusi, and with the cellist Paul Tortelier. He has recently recorded a CD od Donizetti's "Ii camp anello dello speziale", for Bongiovanni label. |
