| Born in Venice, he completed his musical and humanistic studies graduating in Piano, Composition and Choral Conducting. He subsequently studied Singing under the guidance of Jone Bagagiolo and Sesto Bruscantini. |
| Lorenzo Regazzo's repertoire includes not only «character» roles of different ages, but also «coloratura» roles of the Baroque and Rossini's époque and the major roles for deep voice from the trilogy Mozart/Da Ponte. |
| He often performed at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro (L'inganno felice, L'occasione fa il ladro, La Cenerentola, La scala di seta, L'equivoco stravagante) and at the Salzburg Festival (La clemenza di Tito and Les Boréades, this last conducted by Simon Rattle). He has recently debuted in the most important European capital cities (L'italiana in Algeri in Berlin and in Munich; Zelmira in Lyon and in Paris; La clemenza di Tito at the Royal House-Covent Garden in London; Don Giovanni in Vienna under the baton of Riccardo Muti). |
| He has recently sung in works such as La gazza ladra, L'italiana in Algeri and Siroe, re di Persia in Venice, Don Giovanni in Ravenna and at the Teatro alla Scala, Il campiello, Le nozze di Figaro, Il viaggio a Reims and Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Les Boréades at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Händel's Messiah at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Agrippina in Brussels with René Jacobs and in Paris, La Cenerentola (Alidoro) in Bilbao and at the Royal Opera House-Covent Garden in London. In summer 2001, he sang as Figaro in new productions of Le nozze di Figaro at the Salzburg Festival, at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées de Paris and in Montreux. More recently, he performed in Apollo e Dafne in Paris with the Freiburg Barock Orchester and Le Concert d'Astrée, as Conte Robinson in Il matrimonio segreto with the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris and at Barbican Center in London and in Così fan tutte at the Festival Mozart in La Coruna. A guest of the Rossini Opera Festival 2002 (L'equivoco stravagante), Lorenzo Regazzo has subsequently performed as Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia in Padova (Teatro La Fenice di Venezia production), as Alidoro in La Cenerentola at the Opéra National de Paris and in the role of Prosdocimo in Il turco in Italia, and returned to Munich for L'italiana in Algeri (Mustafà) with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, and to London for Pulcinella (with London Symphony Orchestra). |
