Born in Tirana in 1969, she studies at her hometown's School of Music, and graduates with top score; she also wins, at eighteen, the Competition for the admission at the Masterclasses of Arts in Tirana. She also takes part at many concerts in Albany, and makes her debut in Strasbourg in Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater". She later studies in Italy, where she graduates at Milan's School of Music in 1995, and wins in Istanbul the first prize at the "Leyla Gencer" International Vocal Competition. She makes her debut in the main Italian and foreign Opera Houses, like Naples' San Carlo, Pesaro's Rossini Opera Festival, Turin's Teatro Regio, Grand Theatre de Tours, London's Covent Garden, Milan's La Scala, in operas like Rossini's "Moise et Pharaon", "L'occasione fa il ladro" or "Petite Messe Solemnelle", "Roberto Devereux", "Rigoletto", "Madama Butterfly", Verdi's "Messa da Requiem", Donizetti's "Cantata Teresa Gianfaldoni", performed in Rome for the Donizetti Bicentenary, as well as the "Requiem" she performed in Bergamo w. M0 Gelmetti in the anniversary of the composer's death. Recently, she came back at Covent Garden, to sing Dorabella in "Cosi fan tutte". She also debuts with the most important Symphonic Orchestras, like Orchestre de Paris, London Symphony, La Scala Orchestra, Rome Opera Orchestra, under the batons of Sir Cohn Davis, Juri Ahronovich, Jan Latham-Konig, Daniele Gatti, Evelino Pido. Among her next engagements are the comeback in Turin in "Maria Stuarda", the debut at Bologna in "Dom Sebastien", at the Paris' Opera in "Madama Butterfly", in Berlioz's "Damnation de Faust" and "Beatrice et Benedict", both under Colin Davis, and in "Carmen", as well as "Roberto Devereux" and "Cosi' fan tutte" in Wien, and other engagements with Rossini Festival in Pesaro, London and Amsterdam. |
