Milan, S, from 1962; Chicago, 1963; New York, M, from 1965. With the ripening of her full, limpid tone, her repertory expanded with Butterfly, Desdemona (Verdi), Elisabeth de Valois, Tatyana. A highly musical and attractive artist; married to bass Nicolai Ghiaurov.
