One of his most important parts is the title role of 'Duke Bluebeard's Castle' by Bartok. He has performed it in either concert form or on stage with nearly all important conductors and orchestras. He sings many concerts and song recitals. Among his projects are various performances in Zurich, 'Luisa Miller' in Munich and Milan, 'Duke Bluebeard's Castle' in Odense, at Salzburg Festival, at Montpellier Festival, and conducted by Boulez in Paris, London and on tour in Europe, 'Parsifal' in Berlin and at Salzburg Easter and Edinburgh Festival, 'Fidelio' at Salzburg Easter Festival, in Berlin and Tokyo (Simon Rattle) ... Among his many recordings are 'Don Giovanni', 'La Clemenza di Tito' and 'Fidelio' with Harnoncourt, 'Die Gezeichneten', 'Poliuto' and 'Fierrabras' with Abbado as well as 'Duke Bluebeard's Castle' with Pierre Boulez (Grammy Award 1999).
